Today I’m sharing Addison’s pink and aqua blue bedroom.I seriously can’t believe I’ve been in my house 3 years now and haven’t taken pictures of my girls’ rooms sooner!:) Here is Ad’s blue and pink bedroom mostly decorated and a lot cleaner than it usually is.I looked high and low for a bookshelf I loved for my girls’ rooms and finally decided on this Elsie bookcase from PB teen.My girls’ rooms get so much light from their french doors and windows!

Hot Pink, Aqua Blue, & Light Green (Oh, My!)

While soothing, it lacked the punch that her vibrant personality requires, so we decided to add pops of watermelon pink to kick the color combination up a notch.First, I spray painted the old iron headboard (it was mine as a kid) with watermelon pink Krylon spray paint.I recovered her thrift shop chair with Amy Butler’s Love Bliss fabric, and spray painted a breakfast in bed tray pink (read about that HERE).Currently, it’s white with watermelon pink hardware and it serves as a desk/dressing table.They were natural wood so I spray painted them black.

My Daughter's Room

This post feels a bit like Groundhog Day, because this isn’t the first time I’ve written a post on my daughter’s room redo!When we moved to Tennessee, she told me she wanted to get rid of ALL the pink in her room.

We tried aqua blue, green, and white for awhile, but the pinks kept creeping back in.The little white shelf was from Goodwill, as were the vintage Bobbsey Twins books.I painted it white with brown accents and covered it with a brown and white striped fabric that I had in my stash.

My daughter Britton is 4 years old and just recently made over her room into a little girl’s pink and blue bedroom.When I finally decided to make over her room, my only caveat was that I had to keep the blue rocking chair in her room.She really likes girly colors so I had to scour the stores and internet to find a girly comforter that made the blue chair work in the room.

I like that there is light pink, dark pink, purple and blue in it so we can mix the colors in her room.We spray painted it pink and changed the knobs and it is perfect for her girly room.
