Modern Farmhouse Kitchen Remodel

With the love for modern farmhouse kitchens, white shaker cabinets were an easy decision for this kitchen remodel.Since the granite didn’t have a pure white color in it, we broke up the white with gray glass subway tile and tied the color into a painted deep gray island.A stainless steel farm sink was chosen over a cast iron white farm sink for it’s sleek modern look.

The kitchen didn’t lack storage by any means so leaving one open cabinet to display seasonal and farmhouse kitchen decor was ideal.All of the fun, farmhouse style kitchen decor add the final touches to this once dated kitchen creating the kitchen of these homeowners’ dreams!

Our New Build Three-Tone Modern Farmhouse Style Kitchen

This three-tone modern farmhouse style kitchen in a new build home packs a ton of storage and function into a small footprint.I’ve had a lot of readers and social media followers messaging me lately and asking me various questions about the new kitchen, so today I want to share a some details about our three-tone farmhouse style new build kitchen design as well as a peak at how I’ve styled it for Fall.

In our previous renovation, we went with an Ikea kitchen and had our contractor do most of the installation.

We ended up doing a 3-tone kitchen design, with white perimeter cabinetry, a coloured island, and wood features in the crown, range hood, and open shelving.

Namor custom cabinetry did a brilliant job on the custom wood shelves and wood toned crown moulding.

While the term “modern farmhouse” might feel like a throwback to 2015, there’s nothing irrelevant about this new build set in coastal Southport, Connecticut.In fact, this project led by GLDESIGN lends an entirely fresh perspective to the hallmarks of modern farmhouse style—shiplap accents included.This was a full-service interior design project and the team was involved in every inch of the space.

The character-grade white oak millwork throughout the home accentuates the bright white shiplap and it’s the perfect juxtaposition between dark and light.We started by designing the horizontal metal railing staircase and warming up the surroundings with white oak details throughout the home.
