Our new kitchen will have can lights and two of these pendants over the island:I had planned to do a flush-mount fixture above the sink, but when our contractor ripped out our lowered ceiling to reveal our new (old) 10' ceilings, I became concerned that a flush-mount would be dwarfed.I am considering this PB one, but it bugs me that the lights couldn't be centered over each of our three kitchen windows due to the middle support on the fixture.

I would like a pendant of some kind, but I can't decide on what would look OK with the pendants we already have.

LIght over kitchen sink

I have repainted my cabinets (was a dark knotty pine) and I want to update the light above the sink.( I did not even bother to finish painting it that is why it looks a bit dark on the right).

Right now there is a 18" fluorescent tube light up there.Obviously I will need to paint that inner area after I remove the old light, so that it will all be white.I had thought maybe a pendant light, but I am wondering if a pendant would give me enough light there.

I was looking to do a recessed light conversion over the kitchen sink, but it is off-center!I was looking to change it because the ceiling is angled, and it points outward, not into the sink.

Because of the v-groove board on the ceiling, it looks too hard to move and center.

Kitchen Lighting: Island Pendants & Over Sink?

Our kitchen renovation with white shaker cabinets includes an island w/two pendants over it.Our electrician suggestion a third pendant for over the sink (vs another recessed).I think three pendants might be too much.Instead, I'm trying to find pendants and a coordinating ceiling light.

Attached includes a pair of lights that are along the idea, however, my husband doesn't like the globe.

What kind of lighting over sink with a window?

I'm in the process of making design choices for my new build and I'm having a tough time imagining what lighting to put over the sink.For some reason, my builder says that a recessed light is not possible in that location.The rest of the floor is going to be all recessed lights aside from the pendants over the island.

We're planning on doing light to medium grey shaker cabinets with black stainless appliances (GE Cafe), dark floors, and probably white-ish counters and backsplash.

We're doing 9ft ceilings and 42" uppers unlike the pic I have attached which is 8ft & 30".
