Master Bedroom Refresh: Upholstered Headboard Update

Here is the progress I have made in my master bedroom, an updated upholstered headboard and mirrored nightstands that look super chic!That means that in two weeks from today this beautiful master bedroom and walk-in closet makeover should be done.during which bloggers try to makeover a room in their home in just six short weeks!

Remember that light fixture from our dining room that I thought would be just PERFECT in our bedroom.Hoping I have some serious progress to share with you by next Thursday!

An Upholstered Headboard Lines The Walls Of This Bedroom

Design studio Egue y Seta have recently completed a house in Corbera de Llobregat, Barcelona, and in the master bedroom, they included a wraparound headboard that wraps around the room.The upholstered headboard with vertical padded sections, partially lines the wall behind the bed and wraps around to the adjacent wall.The headboard also has warm wood accent pieces, that create a dedicated place for the bedside lamps, and complement the floating bedside table, that also has hidden lighting underneath it.

Alongside the wall is a wood bench with a grey cushion, while above the upholstered section of the wall are two minimalist wall art pieces.

I am so excited to finally reveal our completed master bedroom!We also used the coolest specialty paints to refinish the antique dresser with a crackle paint effect.To achieve the crackle finish, next I used Faux Impressions Crackle paint.For this dresser, I waited 30 minutes after applying the crackle paint before applying the topcoat – the crackle paint was partially dry and tacky in some of the areas.
