I am Songbird (but since we are all friends here you can call me Marianne) and I am so glad that you came over to share a cuppa in my Christmas house. Ah the visions of real fires, beautiful full garlands and hanging stockings and the vignettes on top of that mantel. Well look here a silver, white and red corner on top of my radiator. I basically gathered a lot of my glassware and filled it with snow and red bulbs. Add some lights, candles, mirrors and a berrie/mirrory garland and you’ve got a beautiful shelf (above a built in radiator). You can fill them with anything and they always look good (and do you see how that garland cleverly disguises the radiator knob, that thing really stretches my decorators muscles because it always sticks out like a sore thumb).
I added some real pezzaz (is that how you write that, my spelling control doesn’t know it) to my living room with this silver and gold vignette. But in any case, let me just wish you a happy Christmas time with lots of love and laughter.
