With just a few items from your local hardware store, you can have a new table for your own home in no time! With our family growing, all of our house plans got put on the back burner. It’s a nice, large space but because it’s the main bathroom that the kids use it’s been hard to keep it clean for guests too. Another thing we wanted to do was build a fold-down, DIY laundry table to make the space more usable. Remember our laundry room is combined with our basement bathroom so it needs to be a family friendly color.
Here is a list of what you will need to make a DIY Drop Down Laundry Table just like ours… Fabric of choice large enough to cover whole surface and wrap around the edges After that, you’ll mount the other side of the hinges to the 2″ x 4″ board attached to the wall.
Cover your DIY drop down laundry table with the fabric of your choice You are going to want to make sure that you have enough fabric to pull it tight and staple it to the underside of the tabletop. Once you have those cut-out, start at one corner of the table, fold the fabric and staple it.
Make sure as you continue stapling your fabric that the top remains smooth and tight. When you’ve finished painting and covering with fabric, your table is ready to use! I love how it folds down so easily making the room feel like we had so much space! Having a folding area that can easily be put away was so important for us with the laundry room and bathroom being combined and this is exactly what we needed.
It’s the perfect place for keeping your dirty clothes organized and is basically giving you extra space.
