We don't have steps on our front porch which makes it a little tricky to get varying heights and good dimension. Last year, I used a stool to put some pumpkins on and create some differing height.
To add some height and texture, I got a basket and filled it with pumpkins and greenery. It has more of a traditional look but with the modern pumpkins mixed it, it adds a great trendy twist.
I chose to put paint in kind of a diagonal around the pumpkin to create a modern look. I painted mine on one side of the diagonal so there was a fun burst of color.
Step 3: Place towels or a blanket at the bottom of your large basket to fill up some space and place the floral foam on top (I used about 4 pieces of floral foam. Then place a mix of painted and real pumpkins around the bottom of the basket so it's like they are all toppling out!
