I just got carried away working on our kitchen remodel (I haven’t posted a lot on the blog yet but you can keep up to date on the progress on Instagram!) combined with a week of family birthdays and somehow that turned into a little mini blog vacation.

One of our last big projects in the kitchen are the floors (You can read about our options here). Since our laundry room sits right off our kitchen it will automatically be getting new flooring so I thought I’d go ahead and spruce it up as well. Coats and shoes everywhere combined with lots of laundry, our garbage can and the dog dishes. So today, I’ve put together some beautiful laundry and mudroom ideas to help me figure out what I want to do.

Our main washer/dryer area is almost identical to this one from Country Girl Chic. This space needs to serve as both a drying area and storage unit. I love what Tracy from Beneath My heart did with the built-in bench that also serves as a storage space and it has hooks.

I could easily keep one cubbie for the kid’s items and turn the other into a drying rack for laundry.

We don’t have front loading washer/dryer so I couldn’t do this, but I could definitely build a folding shelf and floating shelves (tongue twister) on the opposite side. I really do love this sleek look (PS this entire laundry room from In The Fun Lane is super cute).
