Red and green Christmas decorations are the most classic and festive way to celebrate the holiday season! From Christmas trees to mantel garland, vintage Santa, wreaths and ornaments, this color combination will bring back feelings of nostalgia and magical memories.
At first, I thought I would be decorating for the season with calming neutral colors this year, but I just couldn't get away from the classic reds I love so much. You can read all of the details in my post about our vintage red and green Christmas tree. While the majority of our house is decorated in red and greens, I decided to do warm neutrals in my bedroom this year. They are bright so they are powerful enough to sparkle in the daylight, but at night they are noticeably different color than the incandescent lights of my tree, which I don't love.
I pulled out these old red striped pillows and thought it would be fun to pair them with a dark hunter green one this year. They look so pretty paired them with some cute chunky knit pillows I picked up for a great price as well.
I just used things that I had on hand- a pretty wreath (it is actually 2 tied together, a little Christmas tree in an antique crock, vintage ice skates, and pillows from years past. Our entryway is a very high traffic area, so it is fun to add a little Christmas charm for us to enjoy as we come and go.
