These simple Christmas mantel ideas will transform your fireplace into a beautiful focal point for the holidays. Each week my blogging friends and I have been sharing a variety of Christmas projects to inspire you for the season. Today, I thought that I would share the steps for putting together this winter wonderland Christmas mantel. I always start with one large focal point in the centre of the mantel and then build out from there.
Our regular faux garland was too thick to work with it, so I ended up using greenery picks instead. I used two different types of picks and just layered them in starting from the centre of the mantel and moving outwards.
Once you have the garland fluffed up, layer on some other items to add more interest and fill in any gaps. I used snowy covered pinecones and the air dry clay stars that I made last year, but there are lots of other options. They’re the perfect way to add a pop of color or create warmth with some cozy texture.
I bought these white knit stockings a couple of years ago and still love them. I got these black metal candlesticks for Christmas last year, and these battery-operated taper candles add the perfect warm glow! I hope you enjoyed our Christmas mantel ideas and found some inspiration to decorate yours!
